2018 Season Registration Information


Registrations are now open for the 2018 season, the club would like all members to register online via the  Online System at www.playfootball.com.au .  Registering online only takes a couple of minutes & instructions on how to register online are below:-

Please note the NSW Government have introduced the “Active Kids Program” which entitles all children that are enrolled in a NSW school for 2018 access to a voucher to the value or $100- which can be used to pay for part of your registration fees. Information regarding the Active Kids Program and how to obtain your voucher can be found via the link below:-


Important Note, the program doesn’t come in to effect until 31st of January, so if you choose to register online prior to the 31st of January you will be required to select the “add-on” option of “Active Kids Deferred Payment” when registering. Then you will be required from the 31st of January to go back in to the online rego system and add the voucher to your registration to complete the transaction.

Please note that any player that registers online and hasn’t paid in full will remain “Pending Payment” and their registration will not be accepted which may result in you missing out on either grading or being allocated to a team.

If you are unable to register online for any reason, the Nott Oval Club House will be open on the following dates for face to face registrations.

 Wednesday 31st of January – 6:30pm to 8:00pm
Wednesday 7th of February – 6:30pm to 8:00pm
Sunday 11th of February – 10:00am to 2:00pm
Thursday 15th of February – 6:30pm to 8:00pm

There will be no further face to face rego nights after the above dates as we will be holding trials the following week.

This will also provide all members the opportunity to purchase club merchandise for season. Just a reminder it is a club requirement that all players wear the club shorts and socks which can be purchased from the club.


Under 13’s to U18’s Grading Day – Sunday 18th February (Times TBC)
Under 12’s Grading – Monday 19th February (Tuesday 20th if required)


U6’s to u11’s – Sunday 25th February (times TBC)

School Holiday Camp – Jan 2018

In January 2018 all Narellan Rangers players aged between 5-11 have the opportunity to attend a school holiday camp with Futboltec at Nott Oval, Narellan. Futboltec is designed by brothers Jason and Glen Trifiro with a huge focus on improving the overall technical ability of young Australian footballers. Both of these guys have had recent A-League experience (playing with Melbourne City, Central Coast Mariners & Western Sydney Wanderers) so they know what it takes to play top level football and also how to train & prepare for it. They will provide all players attending the opportunity to access top quality coaching which is perfect for the start of the 2018 season which will soon be upon us.

The club is taking applications/expressions of interest for the head coaching role for the 2018 Ladies M-League team. The club is also looking for talented players to trial for the clubs Ladies M-League Team.  Trial for the Ladies M-League team will be held on:-

Tuesday 30th of January 7pm, please arrive at 6:30pm to register. (Additional trial dates may be added depending numbers trialing).

The MDFRA will be running a L4 Referee Entrance course and we would like to attract as many participants as possible, especially females and any persons age 18+. COLOURED VEST PROGRAM – Macarthur Football have implemented a coloured vest program, the following is an overview of the program:-

BLUE COACHES VEST – This is worn by the coach of a team in the technical area so the coach can be identified by either the referee or club officials. Only 1 person is to wear the blue vest for each team. (Blue vests are only required for competitive games U12’s and up)

ORANGE TEAM OFFICAL VEST – This is worn by one of the spectators of your team, the person wearing the vest it to ensure the spectators of your team only are behaving. The person wearing the orange vest is to be located in the spectator area, not standing in technical area with the coach.

YELLOW GROUND OFFICAL VEST – This vest is worn by a person acting as a ground official for the club, the person is responsible to assist coaches, managers players and referees if required with queries. They are also to ensure all spectators are well behaved and report any incidents back to club officials.

“Unoffical” Referee Policy.

Macarthur have issued the following Policy as a guide to clubs, coaches, managers and players in reference to unofficial referees officiating games where referees have not been appointed to the game.

New Ban on Smoking in Spectator Areas of Sports Grounds or other Recreational Areas during Organised Sport Events

 The NSW government has introduced a new ban on smoking in spectator areas of sports grounds or other recreational areas while organised sporting events are being held.

This ban came into effect on 7 January 2013.

Please refer to the information provided in the attached NO SMOKING FACT SHEET.  Fines of up to $550 apply for breaches.

Most Councils have already installed signage at their Council venues, however as you can see from the attached factsheet, it is not necessary for signage to be erected for the ban to apply.
